The Necessity of Water Purifiers in the Modern World

At a time when the world faces the threat of many water borne diseases, an easy and efficient method of water purification is strongly desired.

Traditional methods of water purification have been in use for decades. However, a modern and superior method is required to counter the new problems owing to an ever changing environment.

Here are some problems that have led to increase in the level of contamination.

1) Climate change: Climatic changes, droughts, rampant and uncontrolled industrialization have led to alarming levels of waste being disposed into our water sources such as rivers, reservoirs and ground well water.

2) Modern methods of water storage: Demand for municipal water is greater than supply.Owing to the onset of multi-storied buildings, the practice of storing water in overhead tanks has become common. These storage tanks are not airtight and become breeding grounds for unwarranted harmful micro-organisms like bacteria and viruses.

3) Use of pesticides and fertilizers: With increased reliance on pesticides, fertilizers and insecticides harmful chemicals, when used excessively percolate the ground well water as well as get washed away into the rivers.

The traditional methods of water purification such as boiling, use of chlorine, etc. are capable of eliminating either suspended or dissolved impurities. This is not helpful as both suspended as well as dissolved impurities can be harmful.

Many rely on water purifier machines to obtain pure drinking water but they too have their
limitations depending on the technology used.

KENT Purifiers
Kent which is known as a house of purity has come up with one of the best water purifier machines, keeping in mind the disadvantages of traditional water purification methods. It has come up with KENT's Mineral RO™ Technology. This patented technology has all the benefits of other water purification methods, while eliminating its limitations.

KENT's Mineral technology uses an innovative TDS (total dissolved solids) control valve which allows the user to control the amount of essential natural minerals present in drinking water. It ensures that the RO purified water does not have a bitter taste and the pH is maintained around 7. It also enables the user to adjust the amount of TDS in purified water according to one’s taste.
