Get the right solution with a Portable Air Purifier

A city life for most of us may include living in small size apartments, dorms, etc. All of us are a part of a number of activities. While the big cities may seem an attractive option to live in with its glorified lifestyle, it does have many drawbacks. In a city you might have to travel a lot for work or any other activity unlike if you are living in a small town where everything is quite close. With huge malls, cars, buses, the number of air conditioners releasing toxic gases into the atmosphere increases. Some of the cities have the highest amount of particulate matter, which is the cause of increasing number of lung diseases. Once you are at home, you feel the atmosphere in there is safe but while you are away, have you ever thought of the various bacteria and viruses you are inhaling?

Some of the biggest problems that we face in here are, not having enough space to accommodate large air purifiers or are spending most of our time outdoors. Portable air purifiers may seem a viable option here be it in a dorm room, small office, hotel room or cars. Ideally, it has an added advantage of being relatively inexpensive, lightweight, and small in size but it still provides quality filtration of a variety of airborne pollutants, which include pollen and dander, chemical vapours/fumes, like VOCs and smoke.

There is an air purifier that helps with such indoor pollution – The ioniser air purifier. Stale and foul odours are a constant issue, specially being emitted from restrooms or cigarettes; this air purifier effectively neutralises and disinfects chemicals. The Ionizer air purifier produces electrical charged ions, which are presumed to produce biochemical reactions that increase levels of the mood chemical serotonin, helping to alleviate depression, relieve stress, and boost our daytime energy.

However, there is one air purifying technology that rises above all. It is called the HEPA (High Efficiency Particulate Arrestor). HEPA is an advanced purification technology that provides the best possible cleansing of air. Kent, a leading brand in air purifiers has introduced its HEPA Air Purifiers.

HEPA air purifiers have four efficient stages of purification. The first stage helps remove the visible particles like dust, hair, cobwebs, etc. in the air, with the help of a pre-filter. The next stage helps reduce strong smells, foul odours and oxides through an activated carbon filter. In the third stage the purifier, removes bacteria and eliminates 99.9% of the PM 2.5 particulate matter from the air. The ionizer does its work in the fourth stage thus ensuring a higher quality of air.

Thus, portable air purifiers with HEPA technology emerge as a saviour for those of us caught up in the hustle of daily activities. While reducing our vulnerability to diseases, it also serves as a companion to reducing your stress and refreshing you up.

Why Only Ioniser Air Purifiers Are Not Enough

Every country uses development in terms of infrastructure as a progressive index. Thus we have the construction of buildings, bridges, roads, etc. However, on the other hand we also have an increase in pollution due to the above. Of these, air pollution is the most dangerous as it is always all around you. There is pollution in the very air you breathe in. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), the cities of Delhi, Patna, Gwalior, Raipur, Ahmedabad and Lucknow were among the top most polluted cities in the world.

Due to air being free flowing, it is rarely in one place. This also makes pollution shift around with it easily. Hence even indoor air is subject to as much (or even more) pollution than outdoors. This can lead to a lot of health problems like allergies, asthma, lung cancer, etc. According to the Central Pollution Control Board India, the air pollution in India has been increasing incredibly, and there is very little done to control it. The nation is suffering from air pollution to an extent where, one can literally see it in the air.

Technological advancements were made to find a solution to the problem. Unfortunately they were not up to the mark. The problem was too grave to and could not be contained. Then a different our look was presented wherein, the polluted air was dealt with on a smaller scale, indoors. This was a feasible and successful option.

This is when ionizer purifiers were introduced, in the late 1990’s and early 2000s.  An ionizer purifier basically uses a high voltage electrical charge to turn the molecules present in the atmosphere into negative ions. These negative ions stick to particles (like dust, cigarette smoke, etc.) thus making them larger and easier to catch in the purifier’s filters.

However, with the increase in pollution merely these are not enough. Kent, a leading brand in air purifiers has introduced its HEPA Air Purifiers. These purifiers consist of four stages for fresh, clean and pure air. The first stage involves the removal of visible particles in the air such as dust, hair, cobwebs, etc. through a pre- filter. The second stage reduces foul smell, strong odours and oxides (Nitrogen and Sulphur) through an activated carbon filter. In the third stage the purifier, removes bacteria and eliminates 99.9% of the PM 2.5 particulate matter from the air. The ionizer does its work in the fourth stage thus ensuring a higher quality of air.

Breathe safely with an Air Purifier

Air pollution in India has reached an extent where it threatens our very survival. We have already started to see the adverse effects of it on our daily life. Every breath of air that fills our lungs is heavily polluted. We are combating it as much as we can, but that is not enough. Our body is meant to have fresh air and we are not able to provide it with that. How do we combat this situation, is the pressing issue.

We have caused air pollution with our harmful and irresponsible methods. We have polluted the air by adding particulate matter to it. Exhaust fumes would be a fitting example of the way we add unnatural particles or pollutants in the atmosphere. Exhaust fumes contain carbon monoxide, which is a colourless, odourless gas that is extremely harmful to nature and us. Since it is not detectable by natural ways, this makes it even more dangerous.

Smoke from our industries is also a dominant source of air pollution. Our constant need for growth in proportion to our growing population has caused a sudden increase in industry. We have literally polluted the air to an extent where we can see the dark smog in our atmosphere. This increase has led to an increase in pollutants being released in the environment. As a result of which, we suffer from extreme air pollution. The thick layer of pollution above our lands is a good enough sign to start taking efforts to reduce it. Unfortunately an external cleanse is a vast step and since an almost negligible amount of effort is being taken to control air pollution to an external level, the only place to do that is indoors.

Indoors is where our secure environment lies. We are constantly focusing on how we could keep our household clean and safe. We take efforts to dust, clean and, even keep our doors and windows closed for this very reason. Still, none of these things can stop pollutants from entering, also the ones lingering in inside don’t leave that easily. The best way to deal with them is through an air purifier.
Air purification technique is the best available technique to have fresh breathable air. Over the years there have been many innovations in the air purification technology and today, HEPA is the most effective technology.

HEPA air purifiers contain a three-step purification process that effectively provides clean and fresh air. The three-part air purification process begins with attacking the large particulate matter in the air such as, dust, pet hair, etc. The second process plays a huge role in eliminating bad odours and gasses from the environment. The final and most important part of the three is the function of HEPA (High Efficiency Particulate Arrestor).

HEPA has an anti-bacterial layer that helps in the elimination of harmful bacteria along with the removal of 99.9% of PM 2.5 particulates present in the air. This is how the air is purified at a microbial level making the air healthy and safe. Kent air purifiers are equipped with HEPA technology and are very well known in the industry for their positive results. Kent and its path breaking HEPA technology has allowed many to breathe safely with air purifiers.

Choose a healthy lifestyle with HEPA air cleaner

Gone are the days when an evening stroll in the park was our daily dose of fresh air. Mega structures and high rise buildings have created a common problem of poor ventilation in homes. We tend to crave an outing just to breathe fresh air and it usually ends up in disappointment as the air quality has been on a major low since a long time. Air pollution has taken over the metropolitan cities and left us trapped in a cover of smoke. However, we as a mankind are uniting together to fight this major social problem and will certainly achieve our goals one day.

Air pollution is yet to be brought to a controlled level. We have a bright future ahead if we successfully fight out air pollution. However, the best possible option is that we try to keep our indoor area pollutant free. We can surely live healthier lives by making our indoor air quality good. They way to achieve that is through air purifiers which is the new trend taking over major households and has been proved effective.

Air purifiers are appliances that help eliminate pollutants from the air. Appropriate for closed surroundings like homes and offices, this appliance comes handy in creating a fresher and healthier environment to live in. Fleets of variants are available in the market for you to choose from, but there are two major pointers to remember while buying an air purifier - Air purifier price and the technology it runs on. To cut short your troubles for the search of a desired air purifier, it is recommended that you opt for a HEPA based air purifier.

Short for High Efficiency Particulate Arrestor, HEPA is an advanced and path-breaking technology in air purification. Its efficiency is the result of its three filters. The first two filters look after the elimination of particulate matter, chemicals and odour from the air. What makes these air purifiers one of its kind is its third filter i.e. HEPA filter. This stage comprises of the air passing through an anti-bacterial coated HEPA filter that helps eliminate the bacterial content and removes 99.9% of the PM 2.5 particulates from the air. This provides us with not just clean but also healthy air to breathe.

Kent has a major contribution to the society by providing to the consumers with the Kent HEPA air purifier. A variant with this advanced technology at its core and multiple add-ons. Its smart filter change indicator helps improving the efficiency of the appliance and its user-friendly design makes it convenient to use.
