All That You Need To Know About Air Purifiers

Government and scientists have had a lot of discussions regarding the outdoor pollution and how it should be controlled. However, not much emphasis has been laid on the quality of indoor air. The rise of diseases like asthma and other allergies has led to in depth research on the quality of air indoors.

Test have proved that the air indoors can be more polluted than the air outside. This may be because of the fact that homes or offices today are virtually sealed to make use of an air conditioner or heater more efficient. This stops fresh air to circulate inside.

Chemical contaminants like volatile organic compounds (VOCs) from office machines, carpets and furniture, and biological contaminants like mould, dust mites, bacteria and pollen are all cited as frequent causes of sick building syndrome.

These factors have led to increase in the process of air purification. Air purifiers for home not only

eliminate contaminants from the air indoors, they also remove odour from the room.

There are many air purification technologies present in the market ,but those based on the revolutionary Ozone disinfection technology in eliminating bacteria, viruses, fungus and other pathogens are more effective in the purpose of providing purified air.

The Ozone disinfection technology produces Ozone gas, an environment friendly and highly reactive oxidant, which is sprayed quietly and effectively through a fan. Air purifiers are available in two installation based variants; the wall mounted and table top types.

While air purifiers are certainly worth considering, eliminating the sources of indoor air pollution should be the first line of attack.  Make sure countertops, rugs, furniture, and other surfaces are kept clean. Do not let people smoke in the house.

If there are smokers in the family, strongly encourage them to quit.  Aside from being an irritant to people with asthma and allergies, the U.S. Surgeon General has warned that secondhand smoke can cause lung cancer, heart disease, and respiratory illness.
